Jungle was the second expansion of Pokémon Cards to be released for the Pokémon TCG following the Base Set. The English release of Jungle came on June 16th, 1999 and contained a total of 64 cards, miniscule by today’s standards and only ever that big thanks to Wizards releasing holo and non holo versions of the same cards!

The set introduced a number of first gen Pokémon who didn’t appear in base set for the first time in trading card form. The Jungle set was accompanied by the release of two theme decks: Power Reserve and Water Blast.
